02.02.2016 Double walled carved vesselOne of my most favorite types of pottery to make is the double walled vessel. I like the combination of functional and sculptural elements in one vessel. I like the fact that I can make doublewalled tableware which gives a whole new height to traditional dinnerware. I also like how the introduction of an adiditional wall to vases and vessels that I carve or alter brings a layer of protection of sorts, preserving their functionalilty and allowing the room for carving and alterations.
