22.06.2016 Mandala platter

Here is my first attempt to draw mandala on a plate. There was no planning, or scetching in advance. What helped me to keep the lines in order was the pottery wheel. It was so much easier to keep track of my lines when the platter was centered on the wheel. This may sound as a strange thing to love, but I have always loved geometry and I kind of comprehend the whole world through geometry and math. I dont know why it took me so long to discover that I will love drawing mandalas, but here I am. One down, second one finished and waiting for glaze firing. Third one in the making.
