27.11.2016 More InspirationKvevris are Georgian wine making pottery. These pots can hold 2 tons of wine. They are coil built, adding 10cm a day. The whole process takes about 3 months start to finish, including wood firing and cement reinforcement. They are then burried in the ground just revealing the neck, which allows you to pour wine in and out. Maintenance and cleaning are also done through this neck. A small person has to go inside to clean it each time before filling the pot with new wine.
