28.05.2017 Pottery decorationsUsing underglazes on various ceramics can be very rewarding and enjoyable. Very often in our pottery classes we see simple surfaces completely transformed by masterful decoartions. I am attaching a few different approaches to decorating. Mikki has been drawing stylised flowers on her slab plates. David, inspired by Mediterranean colours, divided his bowl into multiple sections, and created a whole new patern in each pattern. Charlene used soap bubbles as delivery vehicle for her blue cobalt glazes on white background. Austin used masking tape to protect some areas of the vessel while he covered the rest with black.
