We have been in our new studio for a bit over a month now. Things are gradually settling down, tools and equipment finding their happy places and supplies figuring out how to circle around the studio in a most efficient way. Most importantly our regulars are rejoining us in the new location, and making us feel complete.
But what a whirlwind that move was! It seemed to go forever, but also happened in a blink of an eye! What I mean is that there were some decisions and paperwork that took forever, and there were some very hard physical tasks that kind of happened in one fell swoop.
Since the very beginning of the studio I have been feeling very lucky and grateful for all the beautiful people that I meet on a daily basis. And I can’t say enough how grateful I am for all of the help I got during this monster move!
Paola and Jane just showed up unannounced, didn’t ask me a lot of questions, rolled up their sleeves and started packing things into boxes like machines!
Ayda and Shiva tied a lot of loose ends together which helped me to get some clarity on what’s happening.
Wendy, Megan and Tracey, showed up in the new studio immediately after the movers left, and started putting shelves back together, unpacking boxes and finding right places for things to live in.
Vania, Charlene and Jessica helped to arrange even more stuff and find what fits where.
Charlene has been tirelessly updating all online signage and making sure people go to the right place. She has also organised the kitchen, the signage around the new studio and lots of other odds and ends.
I am eternally grateful to everyone and want to say a huge THANK YOU to all of these beautiful humans from the bottom of my heart. Thanks to all of you, it all seems to be working now. We just hosted a very big event seamlessly and regular classes are running like always. Thank you my friends!
